Manik Moti – Manik Varma and Pariwar
Dramatised Reading in Marathi

An NCPA Library Presentation

Marking the birth centenary of classical vocalist Manik Varma, this presentation draws from Manik Moti, a biographical work that traces her extraordinary journey alongside the artistic legacy of the Varma family.

The book, authored by Shobha Bondre and published by Rajhansa Prakashan, brings together intimate memories, reflecting her contribution to classical music, natyageet, bhavgeet and devotional traditions, while also portraying a family that shaped multiple art forms.

This dramatised reading in Marathi reimagines the evocative text as a performance. The reading will be presented by Bharti Aatrekar, Vandana Gupta, Rani Varma and Aruna Jayaprakash.

Entry free on a first come, first served basis.
