Beginning in the 1920s, ten Indians undertook three separate global journeys on their ancient cycles. All of them were Parsis from Bombay and in their mid-twenties. Seven of them succeeded. ‘Our Saddles, Our Butts, Their World: Global Rides on Humble Bikes by Indians in 1920s’ is a photographic narrative of their awesome peddling expeditions. It is curated by Anoop Babani, former Mumbai-based journalist and now an avid cyclist living in Goa. He is currently writing a book on Parsi cyclists.
