Kalashram Kathak Contest

The Pt. Birju Maharaj Crown will be presented by the maestro himself to the winner of the Kalashram Kathak contest, a unique event showcasing the finalists from seven cities. The highlights of the evening: Kathak Kaleidoscope – a traditional and innovative choreography by Birju Maharaj with a special appearance by him and performances by celebrities; intensive ‘interactive edge of seat’ contest with rapid fire rounds with Charu Sharma and the best Kathak dancer gets the Pt. Birju Maharaj Crown 2017; also a power-packed Grand Finale with 16 brilliant Kathak dancers, choreographed by Maharaj.
