Rani Khanam is one of the most sensitive and astute interpreters of the Lucknow gharana of Kathak and has been performing professionally for the last three decades. She brings to her dance rare devotion, leaving the audience with a sense of near-spiritual fulfilment. She has been rigorously trained by renowned doyens of Kathak, including Fattan Khan, Reba Vidyarthi and Birju Maharaj and has graduated with top honours from Kathak Kendra, New Delhi. Khanam has performed the unique repertoire of qalam (Sufiana poetry), which is rooted in her intimate knowledge of Islamic and Sufi texts.  She is an empanelled artiste in the “Outstanding Category” of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and a “Top Graded” artiste of Doordarshan Delhi. She has received numerous accolades, including recognition from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Mukta Joshi is a Kathak dance guru, choreographer, an ‘A’ grade artiste of Doordarshan, Mumbai and a member of the International Dance Council. Over the last two decades, Joshi has been under the tutelage of Dr. Roshan Kumari. She founded the Nrityadhara Kathak Research Institute which aims to promote the Jaipur gharana of Kathak. She has completed her Nrityalankar from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj and also has an LLB degree from the University of Mumbai. She has performed at prestigious venues in India and abroad.
