An NCPA Presentation in collaboration with Cinema Collective
NCPA has revived the Reality Check film series, which was started in 2014, to promote and encourage documentary filmmakers in India, whose work reflects life and culture in the country today in a provocative blend of creativity and integrity.
‘The Dirty Sky’ is an insightful and timely documentary by O.P. Srivastava that shines a spotlight on a less-visible but increasingly urgent issue — space pollution. As humanity’s reliance on technology and satellite systems grows, so does the debris orbiting Earth. This film explores the mounting problem of defunct satellites, space junk, and other hazardous particles that clutter the space environment, posing risks not only to future space missions but also to life on Earth.
The film is a call to action for space agencies, governments, and private entities to recognize the urgency of cleaning up space and preventing future generations from inheriting a problem that could jeopardize space exp
loration and critical satellite-based services.
