Ahimsa: Gandhi – The Power of The Powerless
English with Subtitles (100 mins)

This film explores the enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of ahimsa, revealing why non-violence remains a powerful and relevant tool for conflict resolution today. Moving beyond a conventional historical retelling, it traces how Gandhi’s ideas shaped India’s freedom struggle and inspired global movements for justice. From Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Civil Rights Movement in the USA to Nelson Mandela’s fight against apartheid, and peaceful resistance across Europe. With a global perspective, the film underscores ahimsa as a force that continues to challenge injustice, oppression and intolerance in the modern world.

Writer and director: Ramesh Sharma
