This is IPTA’s longest-running comedy drama and has recently completed 56 successful years.

Featuring seasoned actors, it is a timeless play that people watch again and again, adapted from Tujhe Aahe Tujpashi, the evergreen masterpiece penned by the legendary Pu La Deshpande.

Set in Indore, the story revolves around a retired forest officer, Kakaji, who has lovingly raised his nephew, Shyam and niece, Usha. Kakaji’s worldview is gentle, wise, and deeply humane. Into this peaceful household enter Acharya and Geeta, who bring with them a completely different, rigid, and authoritarian perspective.
Through humour, warmth, and deeply engaging conversations, the play brings to life the clash between two philosophies: one open-hearted and generous, the other narrow and dogmatic. Through laughter and reflection, the play beautifully portrays how love and compassion can dissolve even the harshest dogma.

Explore the timeless human struggle – to be free, to belong, and to know what we truly possess.
