Many wonderful short films are being made in India. Filmmakers are at work in their own regions, devising bold, new ways to experiment with form and technique. Short Film Corner hopes to be a showcase for these films and open a dialogue between the filmmakers and their audiences.
The Choice

The story intertwines the journeys of four individuals and their agonising, yet ecstatic, realisation about their choices of becoming parents. As they say, “Not making a choice is also a choice.”

After spending several years trying to distance herself from her childhood and her father, Kia is forced to return home when she finds out that her father is in a critical condition. When her sister and mother insist that she be kind to him in his parting moments, Kia has to decide what her last words to her father will be.

Marathi Film (22 mins)
Goodness and humanity are virtues that drive human nature in times of turmoil. Bhagwan is a story of these virtues and the circumstances in which they surface.. In a small town in Maharashtra, an ignorant society, human purpose and a conflict of choices, complete the circle of karma when a man meets an old woman on his usual bus journey. On a night of uncertainty, if you are caught between your duty and intuition, what would you choose?
