After the success of its last season, The Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI), the nation’s only full-time professional orchestra, is delighted to unveil its Autumn 2024 Season with a special treat for music lovers under the skillful baton of the legendary maestro, Zubin Mehta. The upcoming season will commence on August 17th with Maestro Mehta returning to conduct four much anticipated concerts where he will perform the acclaimed compositions of Johann Strauss II and Richard Strauss. Bringing the enchanting music of Johann Strauss II to life,  stellar soprano Chen Reiss, acclaimed to be ‘one of the most perfect Strauss voices one could wish for’ will sing Csárdás and Frühlingsstimmen. The second programme featuring the music of Richard Strauss, best known for his tone poems and operas, includes the Indian premier of Ein Heldenleben’; and ‘Four Last Songs’ sung by Angel Joy Blue, one of the most sought-after sopranos of our time.
