The SOI Chamber Orchestra presents a programme inspired by the Tango. The highlight of the programme will be the India premiere of Misatango by Argentinian composer Martin Palmeri, which blends elements of the traditional mass form with those of Argentinian tango. The expressive melodic variety and vigorous character of the piece has delighted performers and audiences alike. The programme will also feature works of Astor Piazzolla, considered the foremost composer of tango music, featuring soloists from the SOI as well as Dario Polonara on bandoneon.
