Maestro Zubin Mehta returns to open the Spring 2025 Season with the Symphony Orchestra of India sharing the stage with renowned classical pianist and BBC New Generation Artist 2019-22, Alexander Gadjiev. The concert opens with Leonore Overture No. 3 from Beethoven’s only opera – Fidelio, followed by the poetic expressiveness of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and concludes with Symphony No.7 by Dvořák, characterised for its dramatic expression and sombre atmosphere of grave uncertainty and obstinate defiance.
