Event Details

The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation (MMMF) are extremely sorry to inform you that the concerts with Maestro Zubin Mehta and the Symphony Orchestra of India scheduled for the 21st and 22nd of November have been cancelled.

The communication received from Maestro Mehta’s office states that “After an intensive period of obligations in Europe, the US, the United Kingdom, Australia and again Europe with several tours, Maestro Mehta needs to take immediate rest due to exhaustion for the coming three months. He regrets the inconvenience this causes to orchestras and institutions involved and, of course, his dear audience”.

All tickets purchased for the events will be refunded. Patrons who purchased tickets at the NCPA Box Office may claim their refunds in cash by presenting the original physical tickets at the Box Office. Physical refunds will take place from 3rd November until 30th November 2022. For tickets purchased online through BookMyShow, refunds will be initiated to the original source of payment.

We sincerely apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience caused to our sponsors, patrons and friends.

Zubin Mehta, conductor

An NCPA & Mehli Mehta Music Foundation Presentation

Internationally renowned, Bombay-born conductor Zubin Mehta conducts the Symphony Orchestra of India in two special concerts in November 2022, conducting the works of classical giants—Beethoven, Schubert and Mozart.

Programme:
Mozart: Overture to The Marriage of Figaro
Schubert: Symphony No. 8 “Unfinished”
Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”

Ticket sales for Friends of the SOI and NCPA Members will begin at 9 am on Tuesday, the 18th of October.

For ease of the patrons, online ticket sales begin at the same time as on-site, so tickets can be purchased from the comfort of your home. A limit of a total of 2 tickets per member & a total of 4 tickets per couple member across the 2 concerts will be applicable.

Please note the following guidelines.

For on-site purchases:

  • Patrons are required to carry a hard copy of their Friend of the SOI/NCPA membership card to avail the facility of booking tickets at the NCPA Box Office
  • Only 2 membership cards can be carried per person
  • Two designated counters for Friends of the SOI/NCPA Members will be present
  • NCPA cannot guarantee that everyone standing in the queue will be able to purchase tickets
  • Tickets once booked cannot be refunded or exchanged for the other day
  • Please refer to the map below for the location of the purchase line

For online purchases:

  • Please ensure that your email address & mobile number is registered with our Membership Department
  • Tickets can also be purchased from bookmyshow.com
  • Please use your registered email address to book tickets on www.ncpamumbai.com & bookmyshow.com
  • Tickets once booked cannot be refunded or exchanged for the other day
  • You will receive confirmation of the booking on your email & SMS
  • On the day of the event, entry will be granted upon presenting the e-ticket/m-ticket

This concert is co-presented by the NCPA and the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation. Ticketing policies for MMMF members may differ.
