An NCPA Presentation

The Music of Chopin

The second talk in August will be about Frédéric Chopin. Born in 1810 in Poland, the composer and pianist left for Paris before the impending revolution in 1830, where he spent the rest of the 19 years of his life. Known as the ‘Polish Mozart’, he was admired by many, including Franz Liszt and Robert Schumann. Dr. Cavas Bilimoria insists that no composer other than Chopin has written music for the piano that is as joyful, melodious and dramatic.
