An NCPA Presentation
The saxophone is one instrument most associated with jazz. In its 120-year history, jazz has produced some truly outstanding saxophonists – Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz and John Coltrane to name a few. The Blue Note Quartet, comprising Shirish Malhotra on tenor saxophone, Anurag Naidu on piano, D. Wood on acoustic bass and Saurav Ghosh on drums, will be playing famous and well-known saxophone numbers in their concert. Their repertoire will include perennial favourites such as ‘Body & Soul’, ‘As Time Goes By’, ‘Take Five’, ‘Desifinado’, ‘I’m in the Mood for Love’ and other masterpieces.
