A NIGHT AT THE OPERA – An Unforgettable Musical Experience

Featuring the acclaimed Bombay Chamber Orchestra and Cathedral Choir’s director Mario Nazareth, and a cast of brilliant vocal soloists, this concert brings together the magic of opera and musical theatre. Enjoy stirring arias and powerful choral scenes from beloved operas, alongside musical theatre classics. From the grandeur and emotional depth of Verdi and Puccini to the unforgettable tunes of Gershwin and Lloyd Weber, the programme offers something for every music lover.

The performance will be conducted by up-and-coming young German conductor Tobias Drewelius and will feature vocal soloists Farah Ghadiali (soprano) and Kersi Gazdar (tenor).

Winner of the inaugural International Erich Bergel Conducting Competition in 2022, Drewelius, at a young age, already has a rich experience of conducting several European orchestras including the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz and the Filharmonica de Stat Târgu Mureş. Concert tours have also taken him to China, Japan and South Africa. In 2016-17, he spent eight months in Ecuador with Musicians Without Borders.
