The Spectrum of Jazz

An NCPA Presentation

The colours of jazz are like a rainbow with many shades and hues of emotions and rhythms in its century-old tradition. Sunil Sampat will explore these different moods and styles, discussing great jazz performances from recorded archives of this exciting art form.

Covering music from the genius of Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, traversing the eras of Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis and John Coltrane and up to the present day, the spectrum of jazz will be dissected and viewed, as if through a prism.

 

Entry free on a first come, first served basis. NCPA Members will get preferential seating till 5.20 pm.
