The cornerstone of jazz performance is the aspect of on-the-spot improvisation. The jazz jam session best exemplifies this and the skill of the musicians defines the quality of the performance. For this reason, jazz is often called ‘The Sound of Surprise’.

In this session, Sunil Sampat will talk about this facet of jazz and present some brilliant live and studio pieces via video and audio recordings.
