Helmed by Emmanuel Simon, The Latination is one of the rare genuine Latin-jazz and Afro-Cuban jazz collectives in the country. It is a collaboration of musicians venturing into one of the major contributions to the history of jazz music. The Latination is known for its ecstatic sounds of salsa and rumba married to contemporary jazz, blending dance-worthy Afro-Latin rhythms and idioms with melodies and sophisticated harmonies.
