Dhrupad is the oldest surviving genre of Hindustani music. The tradition is reputed for following special training methods to groom facets like voice, breath control, pitch control and systematic delineation of composition.

We offer a special opportunity to train with the internationally renowned exponents of this art form, Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha, and their senior disciples. 

Batch Details:

Session timings – 1pm to 3pm and 4pm to 6pm

Separate batches (2 hrs each) are available for male and female students covering the following topics:
1. Science of svara and raga
2. Voice culture training for raga music
3.Music and Yoga – Nadayoga in Dhrupad
4.Study of laya and tala

In addition, one batch (2 hrs) will be available for learning dhrupad compositions.
The sessions will be conducted every month to maintain continuity.

This time both the batches will only have Aspects in Dhrupad and both batches are open to mix of both males and females.

Enrolment fee: Rs. 1000/- plus GST for one session of 2 hrs. A limited number of registrations will be accepted.
