A Mehli Mehta Music Foundation Presentation

Founded in 2005, and considered to be one of the top chamber orchestras in the world, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra is the resident chamber orchestra of the renowned Verbier Festival. It is made up of alumni of the Verbier Festival Orchestra who now hold positions in such leading international ensembles as the Vienna, Berlin and Israel Philharmonics, and the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Concertgebouw, Tonhalle and London Symphony Orchestras. As an ambassador of the Verbier Festival, the orchestra’s celebrated tours have brought its electrifying energy to audiences at many of the world’s great concert halls and festivals.

Since his highly acclaimed debut with the Vienna Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel at the Lucerne Festival, German-French cellist Nicolas Altstaedt has gone on to become one of the most sought-after and versatile artistes today, performing repertoire from early music to contemporary as a soloist and conductor.
