A native of India now residing in San Francisco, soprano Deirdre Lobo began her musical training under her mother, Celia Lobo, well-known opera singer, theatre director, and voice teacher in India. A versatile artist, Deirdre frequently performs as soloist and recitals within the United States and internationally performing repertoire from various genres including: Pop, Broadway, Crossover, Oratorio, Opera, and Lieder. She was the Grand Prize winner in the Fan Faire Foundation Messiah Soloist Competition, California and second prize winner in the Barry Alexander International Vocal Competition, New York. As Vocal Consultant & Coach, and with more than 30 years of teaching experience, Deirdre teaches students vocal technique enabling them to sing all genres of music.
