Workshop Details

A comprehensive 2-week drama workshop designed to combat the fear of public speaking and boost confidence through individual and group learning.

Week 1: Individual Learning
– Character Creation: Learn to create fun and quirky characters using different voices and body language
– Monologue Writing & Performance: Learn to write and perform compelling monologues
– Speech & Voice Clarity: Enhance speech, projection, and voice clarity with tongue twisters, voice exercises, and theatre games

Week 2: Group Learning
– Improv Activities: Engage in dynamic group improvisation exercises
– Action-Reaction Dynamics: Explore the interaction between group performers
– Group Scenes: Perform group scenes with and without text, incorporating mime and movement

What will your children learn?
– Fundamentals of acting – Improv, script analysis and scene work
– Various genres of theatre and different styles of performance
– Critical thinking skills
– Building confidence and performance skills
– Improved communication, self-esteem, and self-expression

Conducted by: Amey Mehta
An actor, choreographer and artiste, Amey Mehta was a part of the Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company for five years. He teaches theatre to students at the Cathedral & John Connon School and the Drama School Mumbai. He works as a director for Connections India in association with the NCPA & NT UK. Mehta owns the theatre company, Sunny Side Up Productions.
