Noted Hindustani vocalist Kalapini Komkali takes listeners through a rich and expansive journey of sacred poetry by women in a musical style that has been shaped by the legacy of her legendary father, Kumar Gandharva, and still remains distinctively her own. In this concert that draws inspiration from Meerabai’s celebrated poem, she honours the verse of women poets from Rajasthan, Maharashtra and beyond.
