Western Music Recital

An NCPA & Stop-Gaps Cultural Academy Presentation

The Young Talent Concert series, now in its 34th year, presents two young performers who are carving a niche for themselves in the world of music. Martina Charles, a student of class 9 at Devamatha CMI Public School in Kerala completed her LTCL in violin under the guidance of Father Thomas Chakkalamattath and Carol George from Chetana Music Academy. She won the first prize in the All India Con Brio Violin Competition. She has had masterclasses from Nic Pendlebury and Jan Schmolck, both from Trinity Laban, London. She will play Bach and Mendelssohn. Lisann Dias, MA – Public Policy from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, is a pianist who has completed her ARSM under the guidance of Blossom Mendonca. She also sings with The Living Voices choir. Her performance will comprise the works of Bartók, Brahms, Glinka/Balakirev, Haydn, Moszkowski and Piazzolla.

 

Admission on a first-come-first-served basis.  NCPA Members will get preferential seating till 6.20 pm.
