International Music

The NCPA has been the torchbearer for International Music in India, consistently striving to bring the best musicians and performances from around the globe to local audiences, from western classical to jazz, and more.

The NCPA has welcomed such world-renowned musicians as Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta, Charles Dutoit, Mstislav Rostropovich, Daniel Barenboim, Pinchas Zukerman, Osmo Vänskä, Renaud Capuçon, Andrei Gavrilov, Michael Collins, Dimitri Sitkovetsky, and Stephen Kovacevich, amongst many others.

It has also hosted leading international orchestras including the Vienna Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and London Symphony Orchestra.

In 2006, the NCPA founded India's first and only professional symphony orchestra—the Symphony Orchestra of India.
