A lecture series in western music is provided once a week to Indian musicians, incorporating a whole host of information from performance practices, history, a survey of musical works, to listening and discussion of specific scores.

The SOI Music Academy was launched in 2012, to offer advanced string instrument tuition to talented young children. The programme offers a holistic music education that is inspired by the Russian Conservatoire method. Students receive substantial one-to-one tuition on their primary instrument, second-study piano lessons, group-singing teaching via the Solfeggio method, Music Theory classes and History of Music lectures.

Nritya Parichay Corporate Social Responsibility, is the label under which all dance related activities are conducted. Dance plays an important part of the Indian culture and tradition and thus, Nritya Parichay is an attempt by the NCPA to create awareness about the classical/folk dances of our country to the children. In the year 2014-2015, the Head of Dance Programming Ms. Swapnokalpa Dasgupta trained the students of the NGO – Seva Sadan, Mumbai in Gotipua - which is the majestic folk dance of Orissa. Under her revered guidance, these talented children later performed the dance form at the Kalaghoda Art Festival, 2015 and at the AirForce Day ceremony at Gateway of India in 2015. Currently, for the year 2016-2017, Nritya Parichay is being conducted at the Green Lawns School in Powai supported by Larsen and Tourbo and D.N. Nagar Mumbai Public School, Andheri supported by BPCL. Training in diverse folk dances of the country, viz – Manipuri Folk Dance, Bengali Folk Dane, Garba (Gujarati folk dance), Kalaripayuttu (martial art form of Kerala), Thang Ta (martial art form of Manipuri) is imparted to the underprivileged children by well-known experts from the particular dance field. Apart from the dance training, students are also provided with rich understanding concerning the traditions and customs of the place of origin of the dance form. The project commenced in the month of July, 2016 and is a 9 month long project culminating with a stage performance by the students at the NCPA in the month of March.

As a part of the Outreach Program, introduction to Indian classical dances is provided to the children in the form of interactive lecture-demonstrations/workshops by professional dancers with the authentic music and dance costumes, giving the students an all-round experience of the dance style. These acclaimed artistes curate these sessions based on the age group of the audience to ensure that the lecture is engaging and relevant. It also aims to create an awareness and appreciation of the diversity in our culture and ensure that the children learn about the specific region of origin, history, language, customs and tradition etc. of the dance form taught. As an additional session, the content of the outreach program also includes guest lectures by eminent dance artistes such as Astad Deboo, Daksha Sheth, Anita Ratnam who help in enlightening the students with their expertise.
