Prominent among the various initiatives undertaken by Citi and the NCPA are two schemes: Support to Gurus and Scholarships to Young Musicians. These programmes are in the field of Hindustani vocal (dhrupad and khayal) and instrumental music (melody and percussion instruments). This series is launched to showcase beneficiaries of the above schemes. In this event, two shishyas will be featured individually. First, there will be a tabla recital by Vaishnav Chavan followed by a violin recital by Anup Kulthe.Chavan is pursuing an MA in tabla from Shivaji University of Kolhapur, and Kulthe is pursuing his MA in violin from Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Performing Arts, Pune.
Admission on a first-come-first-served basis. NCPA members will get preferential seating till 6.20 pm.
