An opera in two acts, Semiramide, is set in the period when the Gardens of Babylon were in full bloom. In a scramble between Arsace and Assur for Sermiramide’s hand in marriage, the missing ‘fallen king’ Nino appears. Due to this, the marriage doesn’t take place and Semiramide, guilt-stricken, bids her son to kill her father but at the same time hopes that the gods will spare her. The opera is conducted by Maurizio Benini stars Angela Meade and Elizabeth DeShong as Semiramide and Arsace respectively; Javier Camarena and Ildar Abdrazakov as Idreno and Assur and Ryan Speedo Green as Oroe.
