Soul Music Workshop by Lydia Hendrikje Hornung

Till the day, soul music from the 60’s is loved and listened to, re- arranged and – invented. Soul music is everywhere- in Jazz, Rock, Hip Hop, Funk and Electronic music.
Driving struggle, unbeatable pride and passion as its essence, Soul music served as a messenger to push The Civil Rights movement and gave African Americans a voice.
In this workshop, you will be taken on a musical journey of Soul- the music and its history. The workshop will be conducted by Lydia Hendrikje Hornun, an emerging singer and composer from Germany who currently heads the western vocal department at the True School of Music.
