Dance Appreciation (60 mins)  

A unique initiative to honour the eight classical dance forms of India through lecture-demonstrations and talks by eminent artistes. Vidushi Uma Dogra is one of India’s leading Kathak exponents. She is the senior most disciple of Durga Lal  of Jaipur gharana. She has been conferred with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for her contribution as dancer, choreographer and teacher for 48 years, as well as with the Sanskriti Puraskar and Gaurav Samman from Government of Maharashtra. She is the founder of Samved Society for Performing Arts, under whose banner, she has organised two major festivals – Pt. Durgalal Festival and Raindrops Festival of Indian Classical Dances – to promote the arts and artistes for the last 29 years.
