The evening of 31st March features Ratikant Mohapatra’s Srjan performing ‘Deesha – Navigating the journey of forging new horizons’, a neo-classical Odissi performance. Ending the weekend is a set by Darren Das & The Sixth Sense, who will have you grooving to the best of pop, retro, rock n roll and classic rock.

We seek the modern in the ancient. In a world that is consumed by fast paced technological developments, we carefully unearth precious pearls of wisdom, from within the fathomless depths of antiquity. The grandeur of the legacy created by our revered Guruji Shri Kelucharan Mohapatra is immortal, and remains unscathed, surpassing the test of time. Keeping his timeless vision intact, we proceed to create new trends, without tampering with the rich vocabulary that we have been endowed with.

In tandem with the contemporary minds, we are transitioning from conventional tradition, accepting change as the only constant. Since orthodoxy without logic leads to stagnation, we look to the generations to come as we break free from these shackles of conformity, while staying true to our time-honoured and boundless parampara. Keeping the antiquity of legacy unscarred, we give it a new dimension through a bouquet of neo-classical innovations in Odissi dance, that not only highlight this novel perspective but also respects the integrity of our treasured inheritance.
