Musicians of the Symphony Orchestra of India

Based at the NCPA, the Symphony Orchestra of India is India’s only full-time professional orchestra. In the 18 years since its founding, the SOI has performed with several of today’s leading conductors and soloists, including Zubin Mehta and Zakir Hussain. The SOI places great emphasis on education and many of the musicians are also teachers, working to develop musical potential amongst young people in India.
