Beyond Word: What things can (perhaps) tell us A Straight Talk by Neil McGregor

The talk was held on 15 November 2018 at the Tata Theatre.  (It was part of the opening ceremony of the festival though that part has been edited out.)

We attempt to reconstruct complex societies based on designs on a shard of clay or remains in a cup. Neil McGregor speaks about whether these objects tell us their history or do we project our usage on them to reflect a world we can understand?
