Sattriya by Dipjyoti-Dipankar and Odissi trio by Siddhi Waikar, Namaha Mazoomdar and Tamanna Tanna

Dipjyoti-Dipankar started learning Sattriya Dance at the tender age under Guru Smt. Bobbyrani Talukdar, Smt. Dollyrani Talukdar and Presently receiving training in Sattriya Dance from Sri Ram Krishna Talukdar. Dipjyoti-Dipankar graduated from The Luit Konwar Rudra Baruah State College of Music of Assam in Sattriya Dance. They are also Bisharad in Kathak Dance under Guru Smt. Bobbyrani Talukdar and the Kathak exponent Guru Marami Medhi. They completed M.A in Performing Arts from DIBRUGARH UNIVERSITY. Dipjyoti received Gold medal for Sattriya Dance in Youth Festival 2012 organised by Gauhati University and Dipankar obtained 1st class first position in B. Music from Luit Knowar Rudra Baruah State College of Music under the Gauhati Univeristy recently Dipjyoti-Dipankar Achieved “Uddugik Bota” from All Assam Nibanuwa Sanstha and ‘YUBAKALARATNA AWARD’ from Kuchipudi art Academy Andhrapradesh. Dipjyoti – Dipankar is declared as a graded artist from Doordarshan Guwahati. They are Selected Empanelled artist of ICCR duet category in the year 2017. A promising artist of young generation. Dipjyoti- Dipankar has participated extensively at several prestigious dance festivals in India

Siddhi Waikar has been learning Odissi since the age of 14. She began her training under Smt. Shubhada Varadkar and is currently under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Daksha Mashruwala. Soon after joining Smt. Daksha-ji’s dance academy, Kaishiki in 2009, Siddhi became an integral part of the institution. Within two years, she progressed to taking up teaching duties within the academy at a professional level. She also participated in most of Kaishiki’s productions and performances as a senior student. She received her diploma in Nrityashashtra from The Governing Council of Nalanda Dance Research Center in 2013. Also, the title of “Odissi Jyoti” was conferred on her at the Naveen Kalakar Dance Olympiad held in Bhubaneswar in 2013. She is also a graded artist with Mumbai Doordashan. As part of Kaishiki’s troupe, Siddhi has collaborated with the Tjimur Dance Theatre, Taiwan and travelled to Africa under the aegis of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Siddhi continues to train regularly in order to hone her skills. From teaching young and fresh students, to assisting her Guru in administrative and creative aspects of running the institution, Siddhi looks forward to the exciting journey ahead with Odissi dance.

Namaha Mazoomdar is a professional dancer, a trainer, a choreographer, a director. Her classical dance journey began with Odissi under the tutelage of Daksha Mashruwala. Many of her international performances have been under the guidance of artistic director Raka Maitra. She has also joined Anusree Bonnerjee, a Sr. Bharatnatyam exponent, as a founder partner at Drutam Dance Ideas Lab, an enthusiastic group of professional dancers committed to performing themed choreographed shows. Namaha has performed as a freelance dancer with dance companies in India and Singapore across India, Singapore, Australia and Indonesia. She also has a Diploma from the Intercultural Theatre Institute, Singapore. As a qualified professional actor and a trained professional dancer, Namaha is keen on exploring an intricate confluence of the two disciplines to create new evocative expressions in performing art.

Tamanna Tanna is born in a family that thinks, breathes and talks only about dance and has been exposed to it from a very young age. She has received professional training in many dance forms but her inclination was towards Odissi. Under the tutelage of her Guru, Smt. Daksha Mashruwala, Tamanna has been practicing Odissi Dance for the past 18 years. She has performed at various festivals and has won numerous competitions. She took up dance as a subject for her Board Examination scoring a 97%. She has successfully cleared the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Examinations with distinction. She has completed her Diploma in Odissi Dance at the Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidhya and Masters in Performing Arts from Sri Sri University. She has performed at the Khajurao Festival and the Konark Festival and has represented India at the International Cultural Exchange Programme held in Italy. Tamanna also works with her parents – Samir & Arsh Tanna, as Assistant Choreographer for the movies ‘Ramleela’, ‘Raees’ and ‘Hellaro’ which bagged the National Award for the Best Feature Film. She has also choreographed for the Indian Pop Star, Ritviz’s music video called ‘Liggi’. Tamanna wishes to continue learning, performing, and pursuing this beautiful art form of Odissi.
