Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6
The Symphony Orchestra of India performs for the first time in Bradford.
The concert opens with the delightful overture from Rossini’s opera, which centres on the exotic ‘femme fatale’ Semiramide, following which the acclaimed violinist Marat Bisengaliev will perform Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto with powerful, surging rhythms and vivid colours. The concert will end with one of the great 19th century masterpieces by Tchaikovsky; perhaps the most beloved and popular of all his great symphonies – the Pathetique.
