The Symphony Orchestra of India will perform for the first time in Cambridge. The orchestra will be conducted by the eminent Wagnerian conductor Richard Farnes, who will perform in the second half a specially arranged suite featuring the profound and emotive music from Wagner’s last great opera, ‘Parsifal’. The first half of the concert will begin with John Williams’ grand Imperial March from Star Wars and will be followed by Pavel Kolesnikov’s interpretation of Brahms’ Second Piano Concerto, one of the most challenging works in the piano repertoire.
